Phrases are the building blocks of language. Deck 1 starts with core phrases you can use right away. Each subsequent deck builds, adding a bit more complexity, broadening your vocabulary and grammar.

Active Recall builds memory.
The effort in retrieving the answer from your brain builds the neural connections for speaking. Each time you bring back a phrase, the connections grow. If you can’t recall it, do you actually know it?
Passive recognition, as in multiple choice games, creates an illusion of knowing.
To speak a new language out loud, recall from memory is required.
Phrases come back until they’re easy.
DoubleSpeak runs on spaced repetition. You’ll see each phrase when it begins to fade from memory, until it’s easy to say. Forgetting is a part of the learning process.
